ABOUT ABOUT
The Renegade Company proudly presents the Philadelphia premiere of Jessica Dickey’s riveting one-woman show The Amish Project. Throughout the piece we hear the story of a school shooting in an Amish community in Central Pennsylvania, told from the perspective of seven individuals linked to the event.

The Amish Project premiered to great acclaim at the 2008
New York International Fringe Festival and received an successful Off-Broadway at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre in 2009. Renegade’s production will open on November 11th at the historic Society Hill Playhouse’s Red Room Theatre.

The Renegade Company seeks to produce viscerally engaging
theatre that explores issues foreign to everyday life in America. Following it’s successful re-imagining of Aeschylus’ Prometheus Bound, The Amish Project embraces Renegade’s mission, and poses the question, “How could the Amish forgive such an Act?”.
