It is a period of frugality. The great white whale and evil stepmother have taken victory into Renegade’s bank account against the evil Galactic Empire, but much remains unsupported. During the battles, Renegade spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, A STAR WARS THEMED FUNDRAISER.
It is a busy time for The Renegade Company. Although Bathtub Moby-Dick and Grimms' Juniper Tree have succeeded, the Empire has driven Renegade forces from their hidden base and has pursued them to Headlong Studios (formerly the Arts Parlor) at Broad and Federal. To evade the Empire's threats of dreaded low audience numbers, a group of theatre artists, led by Michael Durkin and Griffin Stanton-Ameisen, have established a fundraiser from 6pm-9pm.
Jawbone Junction joins forces for the night in an attempt to rescue their friends The Renegade Company from the clutches of a boring fundraiser. Little does the Empire know that SUNDAY, MAY 4TH is the night Renegade announces their next project, even more powerful than previous productions. With your help, The Renegade Company will continue to distill iconic works and infuse these works with unconventional community collaborations that foster deep, resonating productions in the greater Philadelphia area...And continue to restore freedom to the galaxy.
With your $10 admission fee, receive a complimentary beverage you will. Munchies, light saber entertainment, Shakespearean surprise, as well as set from Jawbone Junction for you waits. Available for purchase, additional beer and wine will be. Yes, hmmm.
